Invisalign

We offer Invisalign to patients who have overcrowded, crooked or misaligned teeth. The treatment can be effective for malocclusion problems as well, such as over bites and under bites.

What is Invisalign?

For patients in need of orthodontic treatment and care, Invisalign has revolutionized the world of braces. These clear aligners are worn throughout the day and night to apply gentle pressure to the teeth. The teeth are then pushed into more uniform alignment so that they look and feel beautifully natural. Invisalign trays are ideal for many patients of varying ages and orthodontic needs.

Why do you need Invisalign?

At Sudbury Dental, we offer Invisalign to patients who have overcrowded, crooked or misaligned teeth. The treatment can be effective for malocclusion problems as well, such as over bites and under bites. You may want to choose this particular option because the braces are totally clear and don’t require metal brackets or wiring. It’s a great option for older teens and adults who need to maintain a professional appearance.

What makes you a good candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign is a great choice for most patients, but it isn’t for everyone. Additional orthodontic treatment may be needed in extreme cases. Because of this, a full examination and consultation with Dr. Kang is necessary before treatment is started. However, the vast majority of our patients who want Invisalign as compared to other options are eligible for this treatment option.

What happens during the procedure for Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment requires regular trips into our office to continue the care necessary. You will begin by having a consultation, exam and series of x-rays in our office. Dr. Kang will create a customized orthodontic treatment plan specific to your teeth and smile. Impressions are taken at regular intervals throughout treatment to create new aligner trays for you to wear. It is important that these trays are worn for roughly 22 hours each day in order for your teeth to shift effectively into place. The trays have to be removed when you’re brushing and flossing your teeth. Invisalign offers quicker and more lasting results than other options and is often more comfortable for patients to wear.
